About Freemasons Costa del Sol
El Dorado Lodge is a Regular English speaking Freemasons Lodge (registered on the grand role of the Grand Lodge of Spain). We are based in Malaga on the Costa del Sol.
El Dorado Lodge was Consecrated in February 2008 by a number of English and Spanish Masons who decided to translate the Spanish AASR (Ancient Accepted Scottish Rites) ritual into English, therefore, making El Dorado a unique Lodge in many respects, being the only English speaking AASR Lodge in Spain.
Today we have a vibrant and growing membership of many different nationalities living in Malaga and the Costa del Sol.
Freemasonry is a dedicated fellowship that uses old, tried rituals.
Our Lodge as all Regular Lodges all over the world, work in a three-degree system: apprentice, companion and master. Each new member experiences his solemn admission in his own way, depending on personal attitude, background and views on major questions of life.
It all seems to be a game and that is what it is in a certain sense. But then a lofty role play with deep values and meanings, which the participant must discover for himself.
